8/6/22 - A House of Pots - Pots and Plants for Sale - It’s Called A House of Pots
It’s called A House of Pots.
All that you see is the establishment known as A House of Pots.
Here, you’ll find plants and pots housed in a pseudo residential setting with pricing that rivals big box competition like Harm Depot, Blows, Y’all Mart.
You won’t find a big corporate set up here, but you will find more pottery than anywhere and everywhere else combined all at once. You’ll also find multi item discounts, sales tax inclusive low, low prices, and the occasional freebie because I like your face.
There are no employees, it’s just me, and I’m only available 11-6 on the weekends, which are typically Saturdays and Sundays by definition.
I am the definition of TLDR, and if you just want my address, so that you can come and give me all the monies, message me here:

You may not have gathered that you can find my information by searching for “A House of Pots”, or that you can view the moves of Denver’s one true postman day-by-day on Instagram, and that’s ok. We’ll take this moment to reiterate that both of these things are true, and that there’s lots of photos and videos on the Gram (@ahouseofpots) should you need more.
More information, you say?
Terracotta pots are the most reasonably priced options I have, ranging from $1 to $35 on 2.5 to 18 inches. Immediately, I can counteract this notion with my line of handmade Mexican clay planters, which cost more per unit than my average pot, and can cost $25, $35, $45, and $70 on the 6-, 8-, 10-, and 12-inch cylinders shown in the cover image.
If you’re looking for other colored cylinders, yes, I have you covered, from 6 to 18 inches.
All the plants pictured at A House of Pots are for sale, and are generally $5 to $45, with your odds and ends, like Philodendron Pink Princess, costing more than others.
Other pots for sale include low cost plastic planters, freeze proof, glazed ceramics ($10-140), local hand thrown pottery, and free nursery planters littered around the property.
If you like free litter, then I have a litany for you, as well as other free, low value items and services that may just lead you to A House of Pots. My litany of litter includes:
Garbage
Trash
Dookie
Rubbish
Tomfoolery
Those nursery pots I mentioned
Broken pottery
Pottery pieces
Terracotta shards
Clay pots for your kids
Cuttings and rescues on occasion
Cardboard
Anecdotes
Incomplete sentences
Widgets
Maybe some recyclables
Recommendations for local garden businesses to give your business to
Suggestions for which local garden businesses deserve a brick from a speeding vehicle
Unlimited vehicles for segues, non sequitur conversations, and you giving me money
I’m often asked, “Ian, (that’s my name by the way), what forms of payment do you accept?”, to which my answer is typically “all”; unless you come at me with some Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, or Google Play. Homie don’t play those sort of games, but your credit card, cash, and digital payment apps will do you just fine here.
If you wanted to find here, but you forgot that I mentioned the biz is called “A House of Pots” and you neglected to see my contact information because frankly this is TLDR and reading is more difficult that skimming, assuming, or making shit up, look for me off Highway 36 near the Pecos exit in North Denver. I’ll be the one with the most fcuking pots you’ve ever seen floating above the fence line, just begging for your patronage.
Ask your friends if they’ve heard of me. Odds are they’re already patrons. And if they’re not, bring ‘em, and I’ll fix that, proper.
Here’s the part of my posts where I prop up my own searchability with my sales prop known as “Pottery Jargon”. The p. Jargon you’ve come to know and love usually looks like this lately:
cactus, succulents, Brighton, planter, tree, pot, yard sale, gardening, ceramics, monstera, Aurora, cacti, plants, gardens, Littleton, Greeley, jargon, pottery barn, hiking, Federal Heights, Superior, Lakewood, Northglenn, ceramic, Arvada, philodendron, Louisville, plant stand, trees, green greenhouse, Loveland, planters, grow aloe, running, holder, fishing, estate sale, Boulder, Erie, porcelain, climbing, Wheat Ridge, plant, Denver, Broomfield, pots, terracotta, Longmont, Parker, succulent, Thornton, Commerce City, red clay, Fort Collins, cement, garage sale, Centennial, Golden, stoneware, Westminster, pottery, vegetable box, garden, Castle Rock, mcm, gardener,
But, so you know, at any point I could put in a little effort and make that p. Jargon shine like as follows:
Cactus and succulents sound like they’re both plural, but they’re not. Brighton isn’t the easiest place to find a planter or tree pot, so come on down to my yard sale where gardening ceramics grow on trees like monstera on a moss pole.
Watch yourself Denver, because I might just start putting in the effort again.
Ok, let’s see here. I told the people my dba, A House of Pots. Check. I told them about some prices, discounts, and how to find me. Check. I checked their literacy and whether their reading comprehension merits a visit. Check. I didn’t say anything about accepting personal checks, but since we’re checking, I prefer that the funds come from your checking account via card or Venmo. If that’s all you have, a personal check will work in a pinch. Check.
I mentioned my hours and days of operation, 11-6 on Sat & Sun. Check. Did I mention I wholesale to small and larger businesses? If you’d like to monetize some plants and pottery, check me out. Check. Can I make this post even longer and painful for anyone who is reading this against their will? I’ll check.
