3/22/24 - A House of Pots Closing - Pottery Liquidation and Then Some (Everything Is For Sale)

Due to a combination of factors, I, Ian, the purveyor of pots, the patron of pottery, the one true potsman, and giver of so many other self selected pseudonyms, am admitting defeat and beginning the process of closing the doors at A House of Pots for good.

While there might be hope for my business and pottery in some different iteration in some different location, it’s abundantly clear that won’t be here, at:

A House of Pots

What’s also abundantly clear is that I have an overabundance of planters that have, frankly, planted me in hot water and that have got to go.

So, I’m liquidating. (again)

25% to 50% off all planters on site. Just in time for spring.

Ring in the better weather with better deals on planters than ever. Inflation is surely raising the price on ceramic goods marketwide, but you won’t find that here.

Normally, you can find my pottery on the weekends only, but I plan on being available 6-7 days a week for the next few months as I burn this mother down, flipping every pot and plant I have to the good people of Denver.

What will the prices be like?

I know I’m pushing $35 8” white planters down to $20.

Terracotta trays and saucers will be two for one for the most part.

Items in high volume are typically going to be half off.

Plants, because I have so few compared to how many pots I have, won’t be discounted as deeply, but $10 to $60 off (on large plants) won’t be so hard to do.

I imagine you can do the math on what 25% or 50% off of $20 is.

Lots of my $10 items will be $5.

I don’t want to keep them, so I’ll be hooking it up. I’ll keep my cost in mind, but I’m not trying to leave anything behind.

With this in mind, I’ll be selling racks soon, furniture, and fixtures too. If you see something you like, I imagine we can make a deal.

Do you want the building? The intellectual property? All my sources? Me as your right hand man? I’m sure we can make a deal.

Breaking it all down is going to be quite hard to do, so tell a friend or two.
